Can Philanthropy Unify the Family?

So, for me, philanthropy is part of life’s journey. It is particularly important for entrepreneurs who have gained a footing in life of financial wealth and through that process, they’ve been able to go through, what I call, ‘The Hero’s Journey’. In that journey, they’ve been through so many storms that, actually by osmosis, they want to give back. First of all, it satisfies the individuals in the first place. Secondly, for the family, I can give you one good example. I set up a foundation a number of years ago and it was my passion at that time, and it became my daughter’s passion thereafter. So, she is now fully involved in it, in fact she’s running it, and taking care of it. It’s been a wonderful thing for the family as well.
